AISLE. STREET. WORLD.

Dear Church family,

As we continued on the subject, ‘Victory Celebration,’ we further looked in the Word of God, at the victory God has given us in the past days and years, over our enemy. Our God is someone who fights our battles and gives us the victory.

As we read in Ex 15:1-15, Moses and the children of Israel sang the song of victory that God gave them over the Egyptians. The servant of God Moses sang a beautiful song about how God had led the Israelites through the red sea, but had drowned their enemy. The enemy, who was after their lives to destroy them, was defeated. None of them were seen after that day, as promised by the Lord.

God saved them with His might and power and saved the people of Israel. The same people who were complaining against Moses when they were trapped between the red sea and the Egyptians, were now rejoicing and singing along with Moses, the victory song. They sang that their God is a warrior God, fighting for them on their behalf. They sang and praised God for Him being their defense and strength. They rejoiced in the greatness of their Lord God, in the might of His power. They declared the glory of God that He revealed by destroying their enemies. Their enemy had pursued them to destroy them, but God delivered them without any harm.

We can all testify to this, that our God has given us the victory over our enemy, even in the past year 2019. We are in 2020, celebrating victory that God has given us in all those situations that our enemy brought against us. Many times, it seemed that there was no hope, but our Lord God brought us through all those.

It is quite common for us at times, to be complaining as the Israelites did, when faced with the red sea, but when we look back into our lives, our God has always been a strong refuge for us. As the psalmist says in Ps 46:1-2. Our God is a strong refuge for us, a very present help in times of trouble.

He saw us through and has won all the victories for us. He is a God who has promised us that He will never leave us alone, to fight our battles. He wins every battle of ours. He is the victorious one. He has won the victory on the cross for our sin and shame. He continues to win the battles for us. We need to trust in Him daily and entrust our lives completely to Him. He is worthy of our praise, not only when we win the victory, but also when we are facing the battles.

He is a God who parts the red sea for us. He is a God who stops the flow of river Jordan for us, to pass through. He is a God who is with us even in the valleys of the shadow of death. He leads us and guides us with His Word daily.

Let us completely surrender our lives in His hands and look unto Him, in all our circumstances. He is always the Victor. Glory be to His Holy name.

Amen!

God Bless!
