AISLE. STREET. WORLD

Dear Church family,

In light of the current situation, we decided to cancel our regular services for the safety of everyone. We are so privileged to livestream our services for this week and the coming week also. This gives us an opportunity to be at home and yet be together in the spirit on the Lord’s day and meditate on His word together.

Many may think that we are worried which is why we are cancelling services. No, we are not worried. We are simply following the law of the land. God has given us wisdom, and we need to be wise.

Linda, my wife, pointed out this morning that even God had asked people to stay safe when the situation so required. Ex 12:22-23. Last week we listened from God’s word about not having fear even in the current situation, because we know that our God is always in control. The subject was: God is in control: Do Not Fear.
This week, we continue on the subject; God is in control: Do Not Worry.

Almost on a daily basis, and sometimes even on an hourly basis, we are getting phone calls or text messages about what is happening all over the world. The more and more news we get from different media about the corona virus, the more people get scared. We see people in the stores and work place or at gas stations, worried about the person next to them. Reality has hit the common man and we have reached a point of real panic. Some, who are bold and not much worried also have started asking if they should be worried.
We, who are believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, always look to the Word of God for solutions to any kind of problem. This week we looked at Mt 6: 25-34
We all know that Mt 5, 6 & 7 is commonly known as the sermon on the mount, including the Beatitudes or blessedness. Statements of blessings. Jesus is speaking to the crowd and He addresses a lot of issues, including people who get worried.
Worry is something very common to all of us. We all worry in different ways. Jesus is very clear in mentioning that worry never brings a solution, whether it is a small matter or a big issue.
He, in fact, asks a point-blank question. Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to your stature? In other translations it says, can any of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
Now this is the main thing that addresses the current situation. While the reports about the corona virus are spreading and more and more cases are being reported, it is also a fact that the dangerous effects of corona virus are much less than the 2003 SARS and 2012 MERS.
People are worried about food and water and other things. Many are asking what will happen?
We can see from God’s word very clearly that God is in control of all situations.
Jesus said in vs 25 & 26, not to worry about what we will eat or drink, or what we will wear. Pointing to the birds of the air, who do not sow, nor reap, still their heavenly Father, who is our Father, feeds them. Then He asks them a question. Are you not more valuable than them?
Even the children of Israel, who were brought out of the Egyptian bondage, by God, had the same problems. Ex 15:24-27. Ex 17:2, 5-6
God made provision of water in the wilderness.

They complained again about food. Ex 16:2-3. Look at the unbelief or the worries of the people. They are complaining that God has brought them into the wilderness to die, and not provide anything for them.
Today, many are worried like this. The beauty is that God is in control and we do not have to worry, as He is a provider God. Jehovah Jireh.
Ex 16:11-15.
Can you imagine? God is providing bread and meat to them, without them needing to go anywhere and without them needing to do anything, except gathering it for their provisions.
Our God is in control. He can do the same and much more than what He has already done.
He can provide food and water right where we live, even today. We have to trust in Him and leave our worries in His hands.
How amazing is our God! He takes care of each and every worry that we have.
That is why the word of God says in 1 Pet 5:7. Casting all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you.

Even as we read further in Mt 6:31
Jesus is therefore giving us assurance, ‘Do not worry for these things.
Those who do not believe in Jesus Christ are probably worried, because they do not have a heavenly father to take care of their worries.
So, what is the solution for not being worried?
Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Seeking Him first. Surrender your life in the hands of Jesus Christ.

For us believers, we continue to cast our cares on Him and continue to look to Him for peace in the midst of panic and chaos.
For those who still have not believed in God from their heart, the Bible clearly says that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life.
Jesus Christ came into this world to save sinners. He died on the cross, for the whole world. Anyone who believes in His death, burial and resurrection, shall be saved.
The Bible says very clearly in Romans 10:8-13.
The word of God is in your mouth and in your heart, the word of faith, that we preach.
If you confess the Lord Jesus with your mouth, and believe in your heart, that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

For with the heart one believes, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation
So, if there is anyone of you who are reading, who have not put their trust and confidence in the Lord Jesus Christ.
This is a simple step you have to take.

Pray this prayer. Jesus Christ, I come to you. I confess that I am a sinner and I believe in you, as my Lord and Savior. Come into my heart and give me your peace. I completely surrender my life into your hands. Amen!

Those who have prayed this prayer. You have been saved by the grace of God, and from now on you are a child of God. Our prayer is that you will grow in the Lord by reading and meditating on the word of God, and having fellowship with believers of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Please do not hesitate to contact us, for further help and connection with fellow believers.
Now, what we all need to do is, to continue to put our trust in the Lord. Do not worry. Also, share the word of God and the peace of God with those who are very much worried and are in panic.
We are praying for each one of you. We are praying for wisdom for our administration and the people in every nation.

Be safe under the mighty hands of God. Do the needful, as the situation requires. Follow the rules, as the administration tells us.

There is nothing to panic and to worry about.
God is in control: Do Not Worry.

God Bless!
