AISLE. STREET. WORLD.

Dear Church family,

Greetings to you all in the precious name of our Lord and soon coming to King Jesus Christ.

This week we started a new series, ‘The Righteous Judge.’

In a world where it is often heard that injustice is being done, or justice is not being served, we get offended many times, and at other times, innocent people are punished for no crime on their part. We start wondering if God is watching all this and why He is not doing justice and removing all this injustice from this world that we live in.

The word of God clearly tells us repeatedly that our God is a righteous judge.
Ps 7:11   God is a righteous judge, a God who displays his wrath every day.
Ps 9:4. For you have upheld my right and my cause, sitting enthroned as the righteous judge.
Ps 9:8. He rules the world in righteousness and judges the peoples with equity.
Ps 58:11. Then people will say, “Surely the righteous still are rewarded; surely there is a God who judges the earth.”

Ps 72:2. May he judge your people in righteousness, your afflicted ones with justice.
Ps 96:13. Let all creation rejoice before the Lord, for he comes, he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples in his faithfulness.
Ps 98:9. Let them sing before the Lord, for he comes to judge  the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples with equity.
Is 11:4. With righteousness He will  judge the needy, with justice He will give decisions for the poor of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of His mouth; with the breath of His lips He will slay the wicked.

The question is then, when is all this going to happen? We want justice now and we get upset when wrong judgement is passed and lot of innocent people are hurt. We need to know that God’s word tells us that we need to be still and know that He is God. Even though the seas may roar and the mountains be cast into the depths of the sea, He is still God eternally and He knows what is going on in this earth.

The day is coming when the righteous judge will come and will provide justice for all.
He will rule with justice. All those who believe in Him as their Lord and Savior and are hurting will be recompensed. He will judge their cause righteously.

The scripture portion that we read this morning from Is 11:1-10, reveals that very soon that time is coming when the Lord our God will rule this world and there will be justice and peace for all. The beauty in all this is that at that time, we will also be ruling along with Him, as the word of God says in Rev 20:3-6.

The time is coming when the wicked shall not have any authority to do injustice and do what ever they please to do with money and power, as it happens today. The righteous will rule the earth.

People and rules and laws of the land may be passed, which are not justified for us. We may not be allowed full freedom in many places to declare our faith. Many times, we may be persecuted in a wrongful manner, or with falsified reports. It may seem that injustice and atrocities against believers are never going to end. The word of God encourages us to stay on track, for the righteous one will come and rule the earth very soon.

The question, we ask then is: What do we do till then? The word of God gives us the answer to all our problems, because it is the living word of God.
In Micah 6:8, we read, He has shown you O man, what is good and what does the Lord require of you? But to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. God’s word gives us instructions in all our ways, to trust in Him and leave the vengeance and the injustice in His hands, and He will always give us the strength and wisdom to do things the way He wants us to do and live our lives surrendered in His hands.

Knowing this, that we serve a God who is a righteous judge, let us live our lives daily, in His grace and not judge and worry about getting punishment for this person or trying to make sure that we get justice in this world, but let us leave that to God who is the righteous judge and He will see that we receive proper justice in His kingdom.
Amen!

God Bless!
