AISLE. STREET. WORLD

Dear Church family,

Wish you all a Happy Resurrection day!

Greeting to you all in the precious name of our Lord and soon coming king, Jesus Christ. As we continue to live stream our services, we are thankful to God for all His mercies in the midst of that which is going on around us.

This week we meditated on God’s word from Matthew 28:5-6, where the Angel tells the women not to be afraid. The subject: “Fear Not-He is Risen”

Today we see after almost a month of staying at home, because of the lock downs and the social distancing, that lot of people are still very fearful of what the future holds. The increasing number of cases in our country because of the virus, is creating more panic. The Word of God encourages us that even when all hope is lost, we need not be afraid, as God holds our tomorrows.

The disciples of Jesus Christ had walked with Him for 3 1/2 years. They had seen the lame walk, the lepers cleansed, the blind see and even the dead raised to life, but when Jesus died on the cross and was buried, their hopes were shattered. They were afraid of what might happen next.
The women saw the tomb was empty and the message to them was not to fear, but they were still afraid.

Jesus, the resurrected savior, appeared to them and said, ” Do not be afraid, go tell my brothers”   Matthew 28:10.
Today, the same message is for each one of us. Fear Not- He is Risen. We need to tell the whole world that He is the risen one, and He is the savior. We have to spread the message of love and courage in the midst of fear and chaos. God knows everything about tomorrow.

Our senior pastor John Cherian also spoke to us from Matthew 28:6, 9-10

HE IS RISEN: REJOICE
“He is not here; for He is Risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the
Lord lay“. And as they went to tell His disciples, behold, Jesus met them,
saying, Rejoice! So they came and held Him by the feet and worshiped Him”
The Gospel concludes with the resurrection and the commissioning of the disciples
The gospel is good news because it does not end with the cross. Following Jesus demands from us “all that we are, and all that we have”. But it gives us a new and eternal life in return.
There are two kinds of resurrection: SPIRITUAL & MATERIAL OR PHYSICAL
Spiritual resurrection is where the spirit is quickened from our trespasses
And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you
once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of
the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,
among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh,
fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children
of wrath, just as the others. But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His
great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses,
made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised
us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:1-6
This is possible only in this life. One cannot have a spiritual resurrection after death
Material or Physical Resurrection:
The temporary ones-There are ten Physical resurrection recorded in the Bible; 3 by Jesus; 7 others. These people died again.
There is a permanent one which is Eternal. This also Physical or Material Resurrection.
The one with Glorified body is Immortal, Incorruptible and Heavenly 1 Cor. 15 & 1 John 3:2
There are two phases to the Eternal Resurrection.
AND MANY OF THOSE WHO SLEEP IN THE DUST OF THE EARTH SHALL AWAKE, SOME TO EVERLASTING LIFE, SOME TO SHAME AND EVERLASTING CONTEMPT.” Daniel 12:2
First Resurrection
This is physical resurrection of the righteous to eternal life.
Second Resurrection
This is the physical resurrection of the wicked to damnation after the millennium
THE ORDER OF FIRST RESURRECTION
Christ is the first fruit. But each one in his own order: Christ the First fruit. Then when He comes, those who believe in Him.  1 Cor 15:23
This for those who belong to Christ at the rapture. But I do not want you to be
ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you
sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died
and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.
For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive
and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those
who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a
shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And
the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall
be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.
And, thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore, comfort one
another with these words.  1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
New Testament and Old Testament saints. Dead or alive are translated at this
time. Not one child of God will be left on earth.
Physical resurrection of the Two witnesses;
Now after the three-and-a-half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them.  And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they ascended to heaven in a cloud. Revelation 11:11-13
Resurrection of tribulation saints. This includes 144,000 Jewish saints and Christian martyrs during the tribulation. Some say Old Testament saints are resurrected at this time!
The comes the transformation of those who entered into Millennium after tribulation, and those who are born during Millennium
THE ABOVE ARE ORDERS OF THE FIRST RESURRECTION. RESURRECTION OF THE RIGHTEOUS TO ETERNAL LIFE. IN ORDER TO BE PART OF THE FIRST RESURRECTION ONE MUST BE SPIRITUALLY RESURRECTED, BORN AGAIN. AFTER DEATH NOTHING CAN BE DONE.   LUKE 16:19-31.
 THE SECOND RESURRECTION
AFTER THE MILLENNIUM. RESURRECTION OF THE UNGODLY FOR ETERNAL DAMNATION.
And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, Some to everlasting life, Some to shame and everlasting contempt.”  Daniel 12:2
It is a righteous thing with God to repay with tribulation those who trouble you, and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, when He comes, in that Day, to be glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who believe, because our testimony among you was believed. 2 THESSALONIANS 1:6-10
Our prayer is that no one should end up in the second resurrection.
We need to reach out to people around us with this message of life eternal, so that many more may be part of the First Resurrection. Let us declare it to everyone that we know about the resurrected Christ, so that they can rejoice in Him.

HE IS ALIVE; HE IS RISEN; REJOICE. Amen!

God Bless!
