[/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Dear Church family, Greetings to you all in the precious name of our Lord and soon coming to King Jesus Christ. This week’s Psalm reading was Psalm 51. Dr. Binu Mathew spoke about the difference of attitude in two people who sinned against the Lord. David made a grave mistake, but when he was confronted by Nathan, the prophet, he was repentant and asked for mercy from the Lord. Saul, on the other hand, disobeyed God, but when confronted by Samuel, the prophet, he started justifying his disobedience. What we need when we sin and are in error against the Lord, is a repentant heart and to know that the Lord does not need sacrifice but obedience, and a broken and contrite heart. Ps. 51:16-17. As we continued further in our series, ‘Do Not Be Afraid.’ We looked at the topic. ‘Trust in God.’ Many times, as we see people interpreting the Word of God wrong, or coming up with false doctrines, new teachings coming up to confuse people, we get too focused on these things. We get into that mode of being afraid of what will happen. Now, we need to be very careful not to fall into wrong teachings and false doctrines, we need to always look at the Word of God under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. God is the best teacher of His Word. Some people claim to know Jesus Christ and know the Word of God, but do not follow the truth and often lead many astray. We need not be afraid of what will happen, but we need to trust in the Lord for He knows it all, and He will deal with them at the appropriate time. Paul writing to Timothy says in 1 Tim. 4:1, that the Spirit clearly says, that in the latter days some will depart from the faith, giving heed to false doctrines. But in 1 Tim. 4:16, he clearly tells Timothy to continue in the right doctrine and admonishes him to be strong in the faith and continue in the Word of God. Jesus, talking about the parable of the farmer and the wheat and tares, clearly said that in the last day those who are such will be gathered as tares and thrown into the fire. In Mt. 13:24-30, when the servants asked the farmer about the wheat and tares, the farmer said not to pluck the tares till the harvest time. We, who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, as our Lord and personal savior, and walk according to His word, do not need to go after those who are going into the world and world views or are falling from faith. We have a responsibility to teach the right things and the truth of the word of God. Those who are weak in faith, we are responsible to pray for them and admonish them to walk in the word. We do not need to be afraid and try to take things in our own hands but continue to trust in the Lord and to commit our ways in His hands. He knows it all and will keep us from falling. We must be confident in this that He who has started a good work in us will also complete it, till the day of Jesus Christ (Phil. 1:6). Let us continue to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Let us not be afraid, but trust in Him to lead us daily in His light and in the light of His word. Amen! God bless![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][text-with-icon icon_type=”font_icon” icon=”icon-user” color=”Accent-Color”]Thompson Samuel Associate pastor: Atlanta Christian Assembly 678-471-9636[/text-with-icon][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″]
